Mitt Romney's Free and Strong America PAC has announced endorsements in Tennessee, Georgia, and North Carolina.
In Tennessee, Mitt has endorsed Bill Haslam for Governor and has sent him a $2,500 primary election contribution. Mitt said this about Bill:
“Bill Haslam’s experience as a successful businessman and mayor makes him uniquely qualified to lead Tennessee through these challenging economic times. A committed conservative, he will make the hard decisions necessary to balance the budget, get the economy back on the right track, and help put people back to work.”
Mitt has endorsed Karen Handel for Governor of Georgia and has sent her $1,000. His comments on Karen:
“A successful businesswoman and public servant, Karen Handel’s blend of executive, political, and business experience is just what Georgia needs at this critical time. The leadership skills that she has honed in both the private and public sectors will enable her to make tough decisions and enact the reforms needed to get the economy back on track and foster job creation,”
And finally, Mitt has endorsed five Republicans in North Carolina:
Mitt had this to say about his North Carolinian endorsements:
“Rather than focusing on putting people back to work and enacting policies that will restore our economy, too many of our leaders are instead focused on growing the size of government. It is more important than ever that we elect leaders who will say no to the Washington culture of higher spending, higher taxes, and higher debt, and that is why I am endorsing these candidates today.”
By my tally, these announcements bring the total of Mitt's endorsenments this year to well over 150 and his total contributions to strengthening the Republican Party to $436,944.30.
